About The Position

The Lead GIS Developer will be responsible for all GIS day-to-day activities including data requests, geospatial queries, ETL from other GIS systems, and App development using ESRI SDK or similar tech. The incumbent will manage ESRI licenses, plan and schedule platform updates and upgrades, and serve as a SME regarding data governance, development, and automation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS and working with ESRI.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, computer science or a related field.
• Knowledge of and skill in the use of ESRI products: ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, AGOL, and ArcEngine.
• ESRI specific training and certifications.
• Knowledge of and skill in the use of CAD systems: M4, Visio or Autosketch.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software including email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Microsoft Office Visio and Access skills.
• Ability to understand network diagrams/maps and learn network terminologies.
• Understanding of critical mapping techniques through multiple mapping programs.
• Ability to manage multiple workloads with rapid deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new technology and adjust to different ones.

Responsibilities

• Manage all GIS day-to-day activities including data requests and geospatial queries.
• Perform ETL from other GIS systems.
• Develop applications using ESRI SDK or similar technologies.
• Manage ESRI licenses and plan platform updates and upgrades.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding data governance, development, and automation.
