About The Position

We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer with 7+ years of experience to lead the development and optimization of our high-performance website application. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Next.js, Strapi CMS, Cloudflare caching strategies and DigitalOcean infrastructure, with a proven ability to deliver fast, SEO-optimized and scalable web experiences. As the Engineering Lead, you’ll own the end-to-end architecture, development and performance of our platform, driving technical excellence, mentoring engineers and ensuring our site delivers exceptional speed, reliability and Core Web Vitals performance.

Requirements

7+ years of professional full stack web development experience.
Proven experience building and optimizing Next.js websites with static site generation (SSG), server-side rendering (SSR) and incremental static regeneration (ISR).
Expert-level understanding of Strapi CMS, including custom plugin development and integration of third-party APIs.
Hands-on experience with Cloudflare caching, CDN optimization and performance tuning for static and dynamic content.
Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, SEO technical optimization and page load performance improvements.
Experience managing DigitalOcean droplets, object storage and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
Strong proficiency in React.js, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, HTML/CSS, Tailwind, Radix and JavaScript.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL and secure API integrations.
Familiarity with serverless and edge function deployments (Cloudflare Workers, Supabase)
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Sentry or similar.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging and communication skills.
Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring a small team in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

Architect and maintain a scalable, high-performance website application using Next.js (SSG, SSR, ISR) and Strapi as the headless CMS.
Optimize performance and Core Web Vitals, ensuring exceptional Lighthouse and PageSpeed scores on both desktop and mobile.
Implement and manage Cloudflare caching strategies to cache the majority of the site efficiently, including page-level and asset-level caching.
Design and manage APIs and integrations within Strapi, including custom plugins and third-party service integrations (marketing tools, CRMs, analytics, etc.).
Oversee infrastructure and deployment on DigitalOcean, including CI/CD pipelines, CDN configurations and environment management.
Implement build-time and runtime optimizations for static site generation (SSG), server-side rendering (SSR) and incremental static regeneration (ISR).
Collaborate with design and SEO teams to ensure that the site structure, schema and markup follow SEO best practices and accessibility guidelines.
Monitor, analyze and enhance site performance using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse and Cloudflare Analytics.
Ensure scalability and reliability through clean architecture principles, modular code design and continuous performance tuning.
Lead and mentor a small, agile development team, promoting best coding practices, peer reviews and technical growth.
