About The Position

We CGI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer (Python, Fast API, AWS, React) for MetagenAI, an enterprise AI-powered metadata management platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring someone who can drive architecture decisions while actively coding across the full stack. The candidate will take technical ownership of the project, design scalable solutions, and mentor the team. This position can be performed from any Client site Dallas, TX, Austin, TX, Bloomfield, CT, Raleigh, NC or Lafayette, LA in a Hybrid working Model.

Requirements

• At least 9+ years of overall software development experience required
• Python – FastAPI / Django / Flask
• RESTful APIs – Design and implementation
• SQLAlchemy ORM
• Async programming (async/await)
• React – Modern React with hooks
• JavaScript / TypeScript (ES6+)
• State management (Redux / Context API)
• Material-UI or similar component libraries
• PostgreSQL – Production experience, query optimization
• SQL – Complex queries, indexing, schema design
• AWS – Hands-on with multiple services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, EKS)
• Docker – Containerization
• Kubernetes / EKS – Container orchestration
• CI/CD – Jenkins / GitLab / GitHub Actions
• Microservices – Designed and implemented distributed systems
• System design – Scalability, performance, reliability
• API patterns – REST best practices

• LangChain or LLM orchestration frameworks
• OpenAI API integration experience
• Prompt engineering and embeddings
