The software engineer role at Salesforce encompasses architecture, system design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality. Requirements

6+ years of professional software development experience
Deep knowledge of Java.
Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST, GraphQL, etc) and a strong understanding of distributed systems and concepts such as reliability, scalability, and performance.
Deep knowledge of data concepts related to relational databases, including the ability to build, execute, and debug complex queries.
Experience developing client-side code via JavaScript/TypeScript/Ajax/etc
Experience developing in an enterprise environment such as source code control, IDE, continuous deployment, and release management (Git, perforce, Eclipse, Intellij, VSCode, Jenkins)
Experience with Agile software development and Test Driven Development methodologies
Experience with complex platforms
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment

Experience building Software as a Service (SaaS) applications for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

Design & Develop high-quality code to improve platform reliability, availability, and scalability
Design, implement, and tune robust APIs and API framework-related features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment.
Lead, collaborate, communicate, and mentor others on the team and in the company.
Handle large data sets in the cloud.
Build novel capabilities and new services leveraging and extending complex platforms.
Design and implement intelligent and thorough testing strategies to ensure quality delivery
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to address complex problems in real time and keep services operational and highly available.
