About The Position

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team of developers building the next generation of Patient Portal and Payment applications. You are a senior level developer who demonstrates design & engineering excellence and has experience building full-stack web applications, preferably in public and private cloud environments. You are an excellent communicator and nimble learner who embraces the challenges and complexity of working in the healthcare space.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with significant product development expertise
  • Extensive web application development experience with a focus on the frontend (e.g., React, MicroFrontend architecture)
  • Extensive experience writing and debugging modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Strong focus on delivering high-quality code that is readable, scalable, performant, and accessible
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience leading team/technical projects including technical design, scoping, and estimation
  • Strong communication skills with a variety of audiences
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise-level Design Systems
  • Experience with build systems (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and CI/CD deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Playwright)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members to develop product solutions and promote productivity and effectiveness
  • Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert; share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute individually to code and systems design
  • Take ownership of what the team builds and lead efforts to ensure proper adoption
  • Stay up to date with the latest browser capabilities, industry best practices, and advances in AI
  • Mentor, coach, advise, and lead engineering team members
