About The Position

Sandvik Mining & Rock , the leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry, currently has 1 opening for Lead, Freight on our 1st shift at 8:30AM. As a Lead, Freight you will be responsible for providing safe, cost-effective global transportation services across all service modes. Management and continuous improvement of transportation providers to reduce costs and improve service. Additional responsibilities include: Conduct monthly carrier performance analysis and review Assist in carrier sourcing, selection and execution planning Develop and/or support cost savings initiatives in conjunction with logistics operations Liaison between carrier and operations for issue resolution Process creation and implementation Review of international documentation as needed Support full scope of carrier implementations for TMS Resolve global transportation issues with carriers and brokers Alignment with regional/global teams on improvement initiatives Freight invoice audit and invoice dispute management

Requirements

  • 5 -7 years’ experience in a Global Supply Chain Environment with a strong focus on transportation.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a business or supply chain discipline.
  • English Proficiency: Advanced (CEFR C1/ Completed EF level 12)
  • Ability to travel regionally if required
  • Freight cost management, On-time delivery performance, Customer services fill rates, Delivery quality, Customer Satisfaction, Cost efficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Blue Yonder TMS/WMS and SAP preferred
  • Experience working with cross cultural workgroups
  • Experience in management change
  • Experience in coaching and training in the subject matter
  • Strong subject matter expertise in the following Order to delivery process Global Import/Export processes Supply Chain data analytics

Responsibilities
