About The Position

Lakefront Biotherapeutics is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Controlling, and Internal Control. This role is critical in driving financial strategy, ensuring robust governance, and supporting key strategic transformations across the organization. The position plays a central role in financial planning, management reporting, compliance, and process optimization, while partnering closely with Executive Management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in FP&A, controlling, and/or financial leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX)
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic and transforming environment
  • Excellent communication skills with experience engaging senior leadership
  • Experience with leading financial systems team
  • Hands-on, proactive, and results-driven

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA certification; CA certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead budget and forecast processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business priorities
  • Drive financial planning cycles and support strategic decision-making
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting to Executive Management
  • Lead consolidation and provide in-depth analysis of financial results
  • Enhance reporting quality, clarity, and business insights
  • Act as finance lead in divestiture and wind-down workstreams
  • Manage stakeholders and ensure strong financial risk control
  • Lead financial analysis related to potential transition to US domestic filer (FPI transformation)
  • Oversee and maintain ERP [SAP] and Consolidation tool [Tagetik]
  • Ensure seamless monitoring and periodic testing of financial processes and internal controls including production and testing environments
  • Develop and implement new management reporting structures and KPI frameworks aligned with business evolution
  • Develop and manage the SOX framework, including testing and reporting to the Audit Committee
  • Prepare Audit Committee materials and proactively raise key financial topics
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Optimize key financial processes (e.g., contract-to-pay) to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations
  • Shorten closing cycles and enhance the timeliness of financial reporting
