About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Lead Forklift Operator with strong leadership and warehouse experience. This position involves overseeing forklift operators, managing workflow, and assisting with daily warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of lead experience supervising warehouse forklift operators
- Minimum 2 years of consistent forklift operation experience (preferably picking and handling vs. loading/unloading).
- English/Spanish required.
- Must be physically able to work in a warehouse environment
Responsibilities
- Monitor dock and storage areas as directed by Supervisor/Manager
- Supervise warehouse personnel and ensure productivity standards are met
- Manage order flow and assist with inventory oversight
- Step in where needed — loading, unloading, labeling, forklift operation, etc.
- Coordinate special warehouse projects
- Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues or needs
- Load/unload goods from trucks.
- Attend forklift assessment class.
- Move and stack goods on pallets or crates within the facility
- Follow proper inventory and stacking procedures
- Check load security and stack empty pallets
- Perform daily equipment checks (battery charging, lubrication)
- Examine products for quality standards
