About This Position Must be available for some weekends and holidays 4am to 12pm Tuesday through Saturday Must have 3 to 5 years of leadership experience The Lead Food Service Supervisor performs a variety of kitchen duties as assigned and/or instructs inmate labor in preparation and serving of correctional facility meals in accordance with departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and work instructions. Please note: Supervisory duties are in relation to supervising inmate labor and assisting with leading team.

Requirements

High school diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age.
1 year or more of experience working in a food service role.
Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must have 3 to 5 years of leadership experience

Nice To Haves

Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Independently prepares, assists, or instructs inmate labor/team members in the preparation of a variety of food items in accordance with departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and Institution work instructions.
Will be required to handle production paperwork and/or sanitation paperwork essential to be in compliance with facility procedures.
Responsible for ensuring the cleaning and maintenance of all food service equipment and work areas is completed; confirm proper safety and sanitation practices are being followed.
Follows prescribed institution requirements in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals
Follows assigned institution housekeeping and safety practices as instructed.
Stores food and supplies in accordance with instructions.
Performs in high volume food production facilities preparing food for large groups.
May perform other duties as assigned.
