About The Position

AdeptHR is seeking an experienced Lead Fleet Mechanic to join their team in Rancho Cordova, CA. This full-time role offers flexible hours as needed and a pay rate of $35–$45/hour. The position is ideal for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Requirements

7–10 years of relevant experience in automotive, mechanical, or equipment repair
Proven experience working on skid steers, mini excavators, Kubota tractors, and similar equipment
Experience working on gas and diesel trucks (including Ford Mavericks, F-150s, and diesel trucks)
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems
Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
Ability to change tracks on heavy equipment
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Valid driver’s license
Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps/software for diagnostics and communication)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Experience in a lead or supervisory mechanic role
Familiarity with advanced diagnostic tools and fleet management systems

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel trucks, dingo’s (mini skid steers), skid steers, Kubota tractors, mini excavators, and other equipment
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions
Conduct preventative maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and performance
Change tracks on various types of equipment as needed
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
Coordinate with equipment operators and supervisors to address issues promptly
Safely operate equipment while following all safety protocols and regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
