About The Position

As a Lead Field Service Fire Technician here at Honeywell. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you’ll work out of our Baltimore, MD location. In this role, you will impact the safety and compliance of fire protection systems, Installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and support, which ultimately enhances their safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in field service engineering, with a focus on fire protection systems.
  • NICET Certification (Fire Alarm Systems): At least NICET Level II or higher or willing to get one within 90 day.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Required due to travel between customer sites.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and support for complex fire protection systems issues, both remotely and on-site.
  • Fire Alarm System Installation, Testing & Commissioning: Install, configure, inspect, and test fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with specifications and safety codes.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex issues with fire alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, and devices.
  • Fire Alarm Panel Programming: Program fire alarm control panels and associated software tools for optimal system performance.
  • Understanding of Codes & Standards: Knowledge of NFPA and other fire safety regulations that govern system performance and compliance.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, configurations, and service actions
