About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Lead Fire Alarm Installer to oversee and perform installation of commercial fire alarm systems. This role is responsible for leading field crews, ensuring installations meet code and project specifications, and supporting system testing and commissioning. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and hands-on installation experience. Schedule: Hours may vary. Requirements

  • 3+ years of fire alarm or low voltage installation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects or crews in the field
  • Strong knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems and installation practices
  • Ability to read construction drawings and technical documentation
  • Experience with system troubleshooting
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead installation of fire alarm panels, devices, and notification systems
  • Supervise and support technicians on-site to ensure quality and productivity
  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics
  • Plan cable pathways, oversee pulling and termination of low voltage wiring
  • Program, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems as required
  • Ensure installations comply with NFPA, NEC, and local codes
  • Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades
  • Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and as-built updates
