The Lead financial analyst will own end-to-end Vision FX Planning and Reporting as well as provide Surgical Vision Principal tax strategic execution. This role will partner closely with global tax planning, franchise FP&A and regional BUF teams to develop end to end business insights throughout business planning cycles and quarterly closes. It will require engaging business partners using data and analytics to influence and shape business decisions that support both short and long-term strategies. We’re looking for a dynamic Lead Financial Analyst able to take ownership of complex accounting processes, challenge the status quo, and drive strong process improvements that ensure transparency on the Surgical Vision tax model execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work pro-actively, independently and in a team across geographic boundaries in a virtual setting
  • Strong communication & business partnering skills in global matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep knowledge of finance and accounting principles
  • Advanced Technical and Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and first-time-right mentality
  • Working knowledge of SAP, CFIN & Anaplan
  • Proficient in English
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Finance or Economics

Nice To Haves

  • CMA, CPA and/or MBA are considered an asset
  • Knowledge in Currency management, FX Planning & Reporting, and Hedging
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, MS Flows)

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end foreign currency management and ownership of the full Vision FX Planning and Reporting for all Vision MRC’s worldwide.
  • Provide leadership and development support to hedging analyst.
  • Support the Vision tax model by providing end to end visibility to our Intercompany pricing model, by streamlining the current process, business partnering with BUF, FP&A, Tax and Principal peers.
  • Collaborate with broader Supply Chain, Inventory & Costing team members to understand interdependencies and ensure alignment, with a specific focus.
  • Support ad hoc projects, processes, and requests as the need arises, pro-actively help to identify areas of opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure that the principles and elements of the J&J Credo, business policies, Healthcare Compliance, Regulatory, GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley are adhered to in all aspects of the job responsibilities.
  • Provide accurate, timely, informative, and meaningful financial analysis to business partners helping to proactively identify risks & opportunities, understand & handle balance sheet and P&L variances.
