Investment Banking Overview Citi Investment Banking (IB) provides advisory, debt and equity capital markets solutions for corporations, governments, and financial institutions in countries around the globe. The main products and services that support the Investment Banking segment include; Origination & Underwriting on both Debt and Equity issuances, Strategic Advisory, and Valuation services. Position Overview The Investment Banking (IB) Lead Finance Officer (LFO) is a senior finance leadership position responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight, and decision support across multiple business areas. The IB LFO will support the Financing and Merger & Acquisition business heads (joining each of their respective leadership teams) and reports directly to the Banking CFO. The candidate will manage resources that provide LFO support, engage and lead the relationships with business partners through execution of key priorities, providing thoughtful challenge and insightful analysis. The LFO team plays a key role in the day-to-day financial management of each business – ensuring alignment of KPIs as well as an integration with Citi’s institutional Banking businesses – eg. Markets, Services, Corporate Banking, and Commercial Banking. The team has ownership of the overall budget and plan, is accountable for business review insights, development of consistent KPIs, and will partner across the firm to ensure a deep understanding of financial investments, resource management, strategic activities driving growth while balancing efficiency, the execution of the business strategy, and achievement of the target operating model.
