About The Position

Provides technical leadership in the safe and efficient performance of vehicle maintenance at selected repair facilities and carry out a specified amount of repair and maintenance work personally. Possession Of A Complete Set Of Hand Tools, Including Metric Sizes. Ability To Work Without Supervision For Extended Time Periods. Must Be Able To Lift And Maneuver Heavy Components. Must Possess Valid Driver'S License. Non-Covered Safety Sensitive Position; Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Requirements

Candidate Should Currently Meet All Requuirements For A Sr Level Technician Plus One (1) Year Continuous Experience As A Sr Technician In The Work Center Immediately Prior To Bidding
Knowledge Of The Use And Operation Of All Automotive Equipment And Testing Equipment, Gauges And Tools Normally Associated With The Troubleshooting And Repair Of Hydraulic, Gasoline And Diesel Automotive Equipment
Possession Of A Complete Set Of Hand Tools, Including Metric Sizes
Ability To Work Without Supervision For Extended Time Periods
Must Be Able To Lift And Maneuver Heavy Components
Must Possess Valid Driver'S License
Non-Covered Safety Sensitive Position; Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Currently meets all requirements for a Senior Technician
Knowledge of the use and operation of all equipment and testing equipment, gauges and tools normally associated with the troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and/or hybrid motorized equipment
Proficient skills in operating a personal computer
Demonstration of strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance
Possession of basic set of automotive hand tools including metric sizes
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver any weight above 50 pounds with assistance on a regular basis
Ability to work without supervision for extended time periods
Must be able to work in noisy, non-air-conditioned/heated work area
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Must be willing to work any shift
Must possess a valid driver's license in state of residence
Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations
Medical exam required
Non-covered safety sensitive position
Incumbent/posting is for a traveling lead; extensive travel is required- up to 3 weeks per month of travel
