As a Lead Field Service Fire Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a team of field service technicians, providing technical guidance and support. Your expertise and leadership will drive the success of our field service operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our customers. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work out of our San Antonio, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the overall performance and customer satisfaction of our fire protection services, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.

  • Lead and perform installation, programming, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm, suppression, and life safety systems.
  • Mentor, train, and oversee junior technicians to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Ensure all systems are compliant with NFPA codes, state regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on fire alarm and suppression systems.
  • Serve as the lead contact for customers on service jobs, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
  • Prepare and review service reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Support continued improvement by providing feedback on system performance and customer needs.
  • Maintain NICET certification and participate in ongoing training.
  • Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in field service engineering, with a focus on complex technical solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in fire protection systems and relevant technologies.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to fire safety systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations pertaining to fire safety and protection.
  • NICET Level I or II Certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancements.
  • Results-oriented approach and ability to drive projects to successful completion.
