About The Position

The Lead Fertility Nurse at RMA of Southern California is responsible for directing patient care and related activities in accordance with the organization's policies and objectives. This full-time role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Nurse will provide leadership to nursing staff, assess the quality of patient care, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while contributing to the overall success of the fertility practice.

Requirements

  • Active RN license without limitations.
  • BSN Degree—highly preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in reproductive medicine.
  • Previous Team Lead or Supervisor experience—preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations related to physician practice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Nice To Haves

  • BCLS and/or ACLS and/or IV certification—preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership to ensure all office personnel understand their roles and expected results.
  • Assess quality of patient care and make recommendations for improvement to the Lead Physician and/or Nurse Manager.
  • Review scheduled patient appointments and create weekly nursing assignments.
  • Ensure patients are distributed evenly among staff and monitor active patient nursing assignments.
  • Communicate with Nurse Manager/Physician Lead regarding patient numbers exceeding benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure adequate staffing for high-quality patient care.
  • Attend meetings and continuing education lectures regularly.
  • Conduct office meetings with the Physician Lead and elevate issues to the Nurse Manager when appropriate.
  • Work with the Director of Clinical Operations to maintain compliance with OSHA, QA, and Risk Management programs.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, retention, training, and supervision of office personnel.
