Works under the supervision of the museum system's Administrative Coordinator. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of the museum facilities and grounds (where applicable). Additionally coordinates with the Administrative Coordinator regarding the scheduling, training, and overall work performance of the Facilities Technicians in order to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance and care of the museum system facilities. Responsible for monitoring and providing services for public and private events in the museum's rental facilities and areas. Required to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Trains and supervises custodial staff as needed. Inspects and maintains assigned custodial equipment and small tools. May assist with minor repairs to facility and equipment. Opens and closes facilities as needed. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public, applying excellent customer service skills. Operates City vehicles to transport equipment and run errands. Keeps records as required by the City or museum system. Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
