The Lead Facilities Operator is responsible for supervising, assigning, coordinating, and inspecting work performed by Facilities Operators and Plumbers/Pipefitters. This role involves operating, maintaining, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on various heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, including large commercial air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, AC split systems, and air compressors. The position requires knowledge of building systems and maintenance related to commercial boilers, chillers, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, as well as the ability to interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction drawings. The Lead Facilities Operator will assist in systematic inspections, detect impending failures, and perform preventive maintenance tasks. Additionally, the role includes general carpentry work throughout the campus and requires professional interaction with customers and other employees to enhance work effectiveness for the facilities maintenance crew.
