About The Position

Persistent Systems is seeking a Lead Facilities Associate who will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work environment at our NYC Headquarters. The Lead Facilities Associate will ensure the office environment makes an excellent impression on employees, customers, and other visitors to the office. Position reports to the Director of Facilities and Facility Security Officer.

Requirements

  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently with little direction
  • Must have strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately, achieving significant progress
  • Must maintain a positive attitude and provide customers with a high level of service
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and collaborate with multiple departments
  • Exercise considerable initiative, good judgement and diplomacy
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience as a supervisor or manager in Facilities Operations, overseeing facilities and employees
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in team building, diversity and conflict resolution
  • Must have the ability to obtain a United States security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Facilities and Assistant Facilities Manager as the primary point-of-contact for all facilities related issues
  • Responsible for supervising, motivating, training and tracking individual performances of Facilities Associates
  • Lead and develop Facilities personnel to improve their skill levels and abilities allowing them to provide a high level of facilities support the organization
  • Develop assignments and performance activities to foster success of Facilities Associates in performance of their assigned roles
  • Develop relationships with vendors and the building property management team to provide exceptional customer service to internal customers
  • Address reported concerns, conflicts, and problems related to facilities issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Conducts regular walk through the workspaces for monitoring overall cleanliness and functionality of NY office.
  • Assigning necessary actions to Facilities Associates for those areas not in compliance
  • Gain working knowledge of break room appliances (coffee makers, dishwashers, refrigerator, etc.) to perform light preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Responsible for monitoring overall cleanliness and functionality of multiple office areas
  • Provide any necessary guidance to contracted cleaning vendor when questions or issues surface
