About The Position

Revolution is now hiring for a Lead Extrusion Operator position in Flint, MI. This role is responsible for the direction and support of team members to ensure plant processes are followed to attain safety, quality, and production goals. Requirements

  • High School diploma, or GED required.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment in a lead role preferred.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work different machines as needed.
  • Perform well in a customer-driven, safety-conscious organization.
  • Must be able to read and understand instructions well.
  • Ability to periodically lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Frequently lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 12 hours in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or shifts with a strong work ethic and employment history.

Responsibilities

  • Work responsibly in a safe manner, following all safe operating procedures and posted requirements.
  • Feed production scrap into the EREMA via roll feed and conveyor belt to recycle scrap into pellets for reuse in the production process.
  • Record weights of scrap and recycled products.
  • Monitor gauges for back pressure and amps.
  • Maintain equipment by changing screens, pelletizing blades, and compactor blades.
  • Keep filters cleaned and free of buildup to keep water and product flowing properly through the water trough and dryer table.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Make sure resin pellets are being fed to the correct silos or boxes.
  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of the product.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Complete assigned tasks as instructed.
  • Lead the shift and direct operators as needed.
  • Start, stop, and maintain the water treatment equipment including performing maintenance tasks.
