About The Position

Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a qualified, energetic, licensed candidate, for our Lead Music, Art, or Recreational Therapist- Full-time position.The Lead expressive therapist will provide leadership to our current expressive therapists under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services. Provide art, music and therapeutic recreation services to the patients, including provision of direct therapy, evaluative activities, and coordination of hospital-wide activities. Requirements

Bachelor's and/or Master's level degree from an accredited college /university in a Therapeutic Recreation program, Art or Music.
Certification with NCTRC, CTRS, MT-BC, and ATR in Texas.
Able to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of object weighing up to 25 lbs.
Physically fit to demonstrate and conduct recreation activities for patients.
Physical ability to restrain patients through use of hospital approved methods.

Nice To Haves

One year experience working with adolescent and adult populations.
Strong leadership skills; ability to train staff and delegate
