About the position

As the Lead Expert, SMB Sales Development, you will mine business sales opportunities from the Small and Medium Business segment (1-299 employees) prospect lists and marketing leads. You will establish relationships and collaborate closely with our Field Sales teams. As a key contributor to T-Mobile's revenue engine, you will be the first point of contact for all prospects. You will quickly respond to inquiries by email and phone, qualify potential customers, and connect them with T-Mobile for Business Account Executives. Additionally, you will conduct peer-to-peer call listening sessions, assist with training new hires, and cover for your leader when they are away from the office.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cold outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to generate new business leads.
  • Conduct peer-to-peer call listening sessions, provide feedback and call scoring, assist with training new hires, and cover for the leader when they are away from the office.
  • Provide appointment status and updates to designated SMB field sales teams.
  • Respond in real time to leads from T-Mobile for Business portals and marketing campaigns.
  • Follow the lead management process in Salesforce and the qualification process to qualify leads and prevent fraud.
  • Research leads, follow up with them, and assign them to the appropriate salesperson.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Less than 2 years Call center/sales experience Preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals. Experience in outbound sales and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to establish and cultivate initial client relationships, including setting up meetings and connecting with key contacts within the organization. Experience in managing first impressions, understanding client needs, and laying the groundwork for future business opportunities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and other sales enablement tools.
