About The Position

Position Summary Reporting to the EVS Supervisor, the EVS Lead is responsible for ensure that FOH (front of house) guest areas and BOH (back of house) team members’ areas are maintained in a clean and professional manor. Assist the EVS Shift Supervisor or EVS Manager to guarantee prompt, courteous, and team minded service throughout the entire racino property and adhere to all JACK Entertainment standards. The EVS Lead will also assist in providing a superior gaming experience, unattainable by our competitor, where guests can indulge themselves without apology, to provide a clean, safe gaming environment for our external and internal customers in accordance with company standards. Essential Functions Work in cooperation with the supervisor on all cleaning issues and/or programs. Ensure that the EVS Shop Office and are cleaned and maintained daily, with proper guest supply stock in the storage areas. Actively participate with staff to complete assigned duties and provide visible support. Ensure team members are following department training/safety procedures. Communicate/coordinate any special instructions or guest/department requests with the following shift Supervisor. Help shift Supervisor coordinate/prioritize racino cleaning requirements. Assist with procedures and training of special projects team members and inspection of work done. Assist with safety talks, training talks and pre-shift huddles. Ensure key security is followed and all equipment is properly signed in/out by staff. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both in written and oral form.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete reports, correspondence and communicate with guests, Team Members and supervisors.
  • Has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, guests, and general public.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to three years’ experience in commercial cleaning environment required.
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Knowing the proper and safe operation of extractors, burnishers, vacuums, auto-scrubbers, power washers, and ride on vacuums and carpet cleaning machines.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests, employees and supervisors.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work a flexible shift to include nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines and adheres to departmental and company policies.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain a Ohio Lottery Commission license

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Lead or Supervisor experience in a commercial cleaning environment preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
  • Some knowledge of proper chemical usage preferred.
