About The Position
The Senior Estimator Prepares cost estimates for projects in the planning, design, and construction phases. Produces bid proposals and prepares buy-outs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
- 7–10 years of estimating experience in rail or heavy construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, and labor.
- Leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead estimating team and supervise preparation of project cost estimates.
- Review and approve bid packages and pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify scope and technical requirements.
- Maintain cost databases and historical project data.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
