About The Position

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Strategic Solution Architect with deep Government Services (GS) experience to lead strategic platform architecture, solution design, and digital transformation initiatives across complex public-sector environments. This role combines technical leadership, strategic consulting, and enterprise architecture expertise to help government organizations maximize the value of the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate understands government missions, acquisition processes, compliance requirements (FedRAMP, NIST, ITIL, etc.), and large-scale modernization challenges.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of ServiceNow experience with deep hands-on and architectural expertise.
  • Prior experience delivering ServiceNow solutions for Federal, State, or Local Government clients.
  • Strong understanding of public-sector compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP High, NIST 800‑53, FISMA, DFARS).
  • Proven track record designing enterprise-scale solutions across multiple ServiceNow product suites.
  • Expertise in integrations, data modeling, CSDM maturity, workflow automation, and platform governance.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior executives, mission owners, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect mission needs to technology solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • ServiceNow certifications such as: CTA (Certified Technical Architect) or progress toward CTA or CMA CIS (ITSM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, ITOM, etc.) CAD, CSA
  • Experience with government contracting environments (Prime, Sub, integrators).
  • Background with Agile/SAFe delivery in public-sector programs.
  • Experience architecting solutions in secure, air‑gapped, hybrid, or multi‑cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary architect guiding multi-year ServiceNow transformation strategies for government clients.
  • Translate mission and business objectives into scalable, secure, and compliant ServiceNow solutions.
  • Define platform roadmaps, architecture principles, and long-term modernization approaches.
  • Drive alignment between executive stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams.
  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, FSM, and industry-specific government workflows.
  • Architect complex integrations using APIs, MID Servers, data pipelines, and cross-system orchestration.Ensure solutions align with government standards including FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, FISMA, and agency‑specific frameworks.Provide technical oversight during design, build, testing, deployment, and sustainment phases.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior government executives, program managers, and technical leadership.
  • Facilitate strategy workshops, architecture reviews, and solution assessments.
  • Develop business cases, value assessments, and ROI analyses for ServiceNow expansion opportunities.
  • Support modernization initiatives such as cloud migration, zero-trust adoption, AI enablement, and enterprise service management transformation.
  • Establish platform governance models, architectural standards, reuse frameworks, and guardrails.
  • Guide data strategy, configuration management (CMDB/CSDM), security posture, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with change management, risk management, and release management best practices.
  • Champion platform health, operational maturity, and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Mentor ServiceNow architects, developers, business analysts, and junior consultants.
  • Provide thought leadership through whitepapers, presentations, and solution frameworks.
  • Contribute to practice development, capability building, and pre‑sales support when needed.
