About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Equipment Operator at the Prince George’s County Materials Recycling Facility located in Capitol Heights, MD. This position is responsible for transporting processed solid waste from Agency facilities and maintaining the equipment necessary for these operations. The position also provides transportation support for operational personnel.

Requirements

• Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED, plus five years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Possession of a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with fewer than five points is required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred candidate will have commercial driving experience.
