About The Position

As a Lead Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on trailers to ensure they are safe, efficient, and roadworthy. Your primary duties will include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, repairing or replacing damaged components, conducting routine inspections, and providing expert recommendations on trailer upkeep. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key to ensuring that trailers meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee parts inventory and maintain accurate repair documentation via Maintenance program. Requirements

  • High school or equivalent (Required).
  • Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required).
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of trailing equipment and limited knowledge of forklift repairs.
  • Basic electrical diagnosis and repair.
  • Foundation brake system diagnosis and repair.
  • Door repair – both roll and swing doors.
  • Frame repair.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures.
  • Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
  • Oversee Maintenance Technicians on site to ensure policy and safety compliance.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
