About The Position

The Environment Lead is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and elevating the physical environments of the Hunter Park campus. This role ensures that all interior and exterior spaces are welcoming, functional, visually excellent, and aligned with Sandals Church standards. The Environment Lead partners closely with ministry leaders, staff, volunteers, facilities, and external vendors to steward campus spaces in a way that supports ministry, hospitality, and special events throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the ongoing evaluation, redesign, and improvement of campus environments to enhance functionality, visual quality, and ministry impact
  • Ensure campus spaces consistently meet established standards for appearance, organization, safety, and usability
  • Identify, repair, replace, or coordinate replacement of broken, worn, or outdated items across the campus
  • Collaborate with campus leadership and ministry teams to plan and execute environmental projects that meet the needs of multiple ministries while stewarding approved budgets
  • Lead, manage, and care for an existing volunteer team, providing direction, support, and encouragement while helping the team grow and thrive
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts related to environment setup, reset, and ongoing campus care
  • Oversee event related environmental changes, working with staff and volunteers to ensure proper setup and timely reset of campus spaces in alignment with established standards, and providing follow up when expectations are not met
  • Partner with a wide range of ministries to ensure their events and gatherings are supported by high quality, thoughtfully designed environments
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of seasonal and high impact events, including Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day, and Candy Rush, ensuring environments are engaging, cohesive, and aligned with the vision of each season
  • Partner with facilities staff and external vendors, including the landscape maintenance company, to ensure both interior and exterior environments meet campus quality standards
  • Work closely with Craig and the facilities team to coordinate maintenance, improvements, and long term environmental needs for the campus
