About The Position

CLASS SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing environmental services staff, scheduling and inspecting the facilities. Performs environmental services tasks, to include cleaning and disinfection of all airport facilities and other related work as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES : This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department. Oversees job duties of environmental services and floorcare employees to ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner. Completes employee performance evaluations and assists with time keeping as needed. Trains and oversees the environmental services staff in the proper handling of chemical agents in the cleaning process. Assures adequate stocking of supplies and other cleaning materials throughout the airport facility. Uses technology and innovative solutions. Oversees the coordination of stocking of supplies and other cleaning materials throughout the airport. Orders supplies and replacement parts and transports biological-barrels as needed. Conducts walk through of airport areas, inside and out and directs staff where further cleaning is needed. Attends all CVG AA training as required Writes standard operating procedures Trains employees on disinfecting procedures and COVID spray techniques. Remains alert to public safety and security concerns. Follows all safety protocols, reports unsafe conditions when required, notifies leadership and supports the outcome. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and three years of cleaning experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Maintain Security Identification Display Area Clearance (SIDA)
  • Valid Operator’s License
  • Obtain and maintain position appropriate NIMS & emergency training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain position appropriate Federal security clearance.
  • Obtain and maintain the ability to drive in the Airfield Operating Area
  • Applicable OSHA safety standards and other Federal, State and local regulations
  • Methods, techniques and materials used in cleaning maintenance of buildings
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Material safety data sheets.
  • Demonstrated skill in independent judgement
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Clearly and effectively communicating both orally and in writing
  • Beginner skill in the use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, graphs and spreadsheets
