About The Position

A Day in the Life Environmental Services is front line infection prevention responsible for performing services in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures for providing a safe environment, achieved by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection and quality assurance toward the reduction of harmful pathogens for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff. Documents co-worker(s) performance Serves as a working leader, coordinating activities of co- workers engaged in environmental services. Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees. Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity. Assists in the supervision of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities. Orients and trains employees. Operates the bed tracking program and assigns beds for completion Completes room inspections and conducts patient interviews Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED OR 2 years of progressively more responsible experience in Environmental Services/Hospitality industry and in production
  • Obtain CHEST or CSCT within 12 months of hire
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
