About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Enterprise Risk Officer in Strategic Enterprise Risk Management (SERM) to oversee enterprise risk programs, governance, and infrastructure. This role is crucial for providing a comprehensive view of the company's risks and ensuring effective risk management across various business lines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Risk Management experience in areas such as Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, or Business Process Management
  • Experience with risk program, regulatory reporting, and/or audit
  • Strong knowledge of risk programs, metrics, and thresholds
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong project management and relationship management skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) program
  • Ability to apply program guidance into executable outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and aggregation of the Enterprise Risk Report (ERR)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor risk-based governance programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
  • Review moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges
  • Provide oversight and challenge for corporate governance risk programs
  • Utilize risk knowledge to resolve issues for companywide projects
  • Develop and interpret risk-based governance programs and create new policies
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Guide the organization in terms of policies and reporting to the Board
  • Collaborate with peers and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Partner with managers to coordinate risk reporting to executive management and committees
