About the position

MGM Resorts International is seeking a visionary Lead Enterprise Architect to spearhead a team of architects in designing and executing a forward-looking Technology, Digital, and Data (TDD) strategy aligned with the company's strategic goals. In this critical leadership role, you will shape the future of MGM's technology landscape by ensuring seamless integration across infrastructure, applications, data management, and security. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and collaborative leader who partners with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business needs into innovative, scalable, and resilient architectural solutions that drive value and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the adoption of an enterprise architecture framework across infrastructure, applications, data, and security, while mentoring junior architects.
  • Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with business strategy and evolving technology needs.
  • Standardize architectural documentation and practices across all domains and architecture layers.
  • Conduct reviews to ensure TDD solutions align with enterprise principles and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for integration, ensuring alignment with existing systems and goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable architectural solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive architectural artifacts, including models and blueprints.
  • Promote a collaborative, best-practice-driven culture within the architecture team.
  • Track and champion relevant industry trends and update the architecture framework accordingly.
  • Foster architectural excellence and consistency across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field-or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in Enterprise Architecture or a related field.
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, application, data, and security architecture, including cloud service patterns.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and business audiences.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient in UML 2.5 and architectural modeling.
  • Experience with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, SAFe 6.0).
  • Track record of leading enterprise-wide architecture initiatives.
  • Effective presenter to executive and business stakeholders.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) and industry credentials (TOGAF, SAFe).
