About The Position

The Lead Engineering Services Support Technician plays a crucial role in supporting engineering projects by performing complex technical tasks. This position involves collaborating with engineers, providing technical support, and assisting in the training and orientation of technical staff. The technician will work under minimal supervision to ensure the successful execution of engineering tasks and projects.

Requirements

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
• Component level troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with fine pitch soldering, Circuit Card Assembly Rework, and complex electro/mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineers on various engineering tasks.
• Perform moderate to complex technical tasks contributing to engineering project planning and execution.
• Review workflow illustrations, routing, floor layouts, and material handling.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain test setups and equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Conduct materials testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with higher-level support staff to discuss test procedures and results with engineers.
• Plan and execute experiments, gathering and formatting technical data to support engineering disciplines.
• Analyze and compile data and design changes, producing necessary documentation and reports.
• Conduct research and perform laboratory functions involving electronic or electro-mechanical devices.
