About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Sustainment Program Lead Engineer (Level 5) to join our team in El Segundo, California. As a Sustainment Program Lead Engineer, you will support the customer on maintaining and monitoring vehicle fleet in operations; Provide factory expertise and recommendations to the customer; Develop new operations to meet customers needs; Be a part of our passionate and highly-motivated team who are excited to be on the forefront of modern spaceflight. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 10+ years of experience working with Real-time Satellite or Space Systems Operations
• Must be willing and able to be on call for 24/7 support
• This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

• Root Cause Corrective Action experience
• Team Leadership experience
• Strong general System Engineering background

Responsibilities

• Customer Interface for providing status/updates to cost, schedule and inputs based on customers Statement of Work
• Manage team and staffing for sustainment program
• Manage cost and budget for sustainment program
• Support program director
• Provide and review technical engineering factory recommendations to customer for fleet or vehicle operations
• First responder for Support fleet issues or signatures (24/7)
