Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Lead Engineer / Sr. Program Manager to join our growing rail group in Southern California. This position is integral to the planning, design, and preparation of construction drawings and contract documents for various rail and transit projects, spanning from initial planning through to construction. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in leading engineering efforts on rail and transit projects, with established relationships with key clients such as Metrolink, LA Metro, OCTA, RCTC, SBCTA, SANDAG, NCTD, Caltrain, BART, BNSF, UPRR, California High-speed Rail (CAHSR) Authority, Brightline, Gold Line Authority, SGVCOG, and other local municipalities. Experience in the rail industry may encompass commuter, freight, light and heavy rail, as well as passenger stations, maintenance support facilities, rail yards, at-grade crossings, and grade separations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to manage client relationships, lead programs, and build effective teams. This role requires an energetic, self-directed individual who is focused on achieving success.
