Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking a Legacy Lead Engineer is responsible for the operational sustainment, enhancement, and transition support of legacy C2SET/AFMSTT software baselines and associated training, simulation, and stimulation artifacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years relevant experience or Associate’s degree and 10+ years relevant experience or 12+ years of relevant experience: Demonstrated experience developing and sustaining C2SET/AFMSTT legacy systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based services (AWS, Azure) and/or RESTful architectures.
  • 2+ years of experience in military mission planning, operations, and wargaming.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting simulation training within AOCs.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge Skills, and Abilities: Experience supporting live exercises and operational training events.
  • Familiarity with legacy M&S federation and integration architectures.
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain and support legacy C2SET/AFMSTT models, systems, and interfaces.
  • Ensure continuous operational availability of legacy training, simulation, and stimulation artifacts.
  • Provide legacy change requests (CRs), discrepancy reports (DRs), GitLab ticket updates, user-driven priorities, and urgent exercise support.
  • Support operating system updates, fielding changes, exercise updates, and urgent defect resolutions.
  • Design and architect legacy ASCCE and Federation fielding and integration solutions.
  • Provide engineering support for all attributes identified for transition to modernized systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
