About The Position

Venture Global LNG is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking a talented civil engineer to join our team who will produce engineering documents for the site preparation, grading, drainage, roads, and paving for our facilities. This position will serve multiple roles with the goal of ensuring efficiently produced high quality civil engineering documents for our projects. The ideal candidate should be a working leader that is detail oriented and able to keep track of multiple tasks with separate deadlines. This position will report to the Civil Engineering Manager. This position is located in our Downtown Houston office and is a Monday-Friday in-office position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 to 15 years of relevant experience within oil, gas, and chemical facilities and preferably LNG within an EPC company
• Professional Engineering License
• Louisiana Professional Engineering License, NCEES Record, or have all qualifications needed to obtain a Louisiana License within 4 months of the start date.
• Skill in oral and written communication

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a graphically to-scale integrated hydrology and hydraulics site drainage software such as EPA SWMM, PCSWMM, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA), or InfoDrainage.
• Autodesk Civil 3D (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of calculations, quantities, reports, drawings, and specifications for the civil sitework scope of engineering of the project. Seal and sign the final civil engineering documents.
• Collaborate with and support other disciplines, sub consultants, project controls, project management, and others.
• Perform all functions within the civil engineering and design team as needed to create examples or meet deadlines.
