About The Position

As a Lead Engineering Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Electronic Solutions (ES) business unit in Moca, PR. You will provide technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of engineering processes and systems. Your leadership and technical skills will contribute to the success of our projects and the overall growth of our business. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Moca, PR location. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our Electronic Test organization by providing technical support in systems electronic fabrication, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our engineering processes and hardware. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices. Your attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality results. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or a related role.
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Test Equipment and other engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of IPC 610, JSTD and 620 industry standards and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electronic, electrical and mechanical expertise in the assembly and fabrication of test systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of engineering processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to ensure the quality and efficiency of engineering processes and hardware.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.
  • Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Travel, up to 25%, may be expected.
