MaineGeneral Health is seeking a highly skilled Lead Endoscopy Technician to join our team at the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville. In this role, you will lead and support team members within the Endoscopy department, serving as both a technical expert and a mentor. You will ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and teamwork while overseeing equipment performance and workflow coordination.

  • Provides mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, particularly in areas such as productivity and quality management.
  • Serves as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Oversees equipment quality control, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem-solving.
  • Performs the responsibilities of the underlying job.
  • Takes responsibility for, or guides team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Maine.
  • Advanced knowledge of endoscopy technician responsibilities and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a focus on team development.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain quality standards.
