L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems is seeking a Technical Lead Software Engineer. Responsibilities include leading a software development team, analyzing requirements and the translation of requirements into working and maintainable solutions, planning the development, assigning budgets and tasks, tracking teams' status, measuring teams work performed utilizing EVMS techniques and enforcing process across the entire SDLC. The selected candidate will apply technical proficiency across various stages of our SDLC, gather requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and scope tasks. The selected candidate will be working as a lead team member on a Scrum team and will be instrumental in setting our direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development.

  • Leading a software development team
  • Analyzing requirements and translating them into working solutions
  • Planning development, assigning budgets and tasks
  • Tracking team status and measuring work performed using EVMS techniques
  • Enforcing process across the entire SDLC
  • Gathering requirements and working closely with stakeholders
  • Setting direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development
  • Supporting engineering team members as a subject matter expert
  • Investigating root causes of complex issues and implementing solutions
  • Developing software test plans and procedures
  • Participating in peer reviews and tracking defects
  • U.S. citizenship with an Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience debugging applications on simulated and target hardware
  • Usage of a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with EVMS
  • Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time embedded systems
  • Experience with Information Assurance and/or cryptography
  • Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other SW certification such as DO-178
  • Relocation packages available for qualified candidates
  • 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off
