  • Enhance live-action videos with intricate and engaging animations and identify when animated pieces can drive the narrative.
  • Follow and elevate brand guidelines with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across writers, hosts, creatives, and brand teams.
  • Incorporate feedback well and provide clear, edit-focused notes to others.
  • Work effectively within a team structure while also being able to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver post-production for long and short-form stories: Edit YouTube-first, long-form videos from audio string-out to final cut on deadline, along with Shorts (both repurposed and original).
  • Design and animate clear data visualizations, diagrams, and explainer sequences for business and tech topics.
  • Build mixed-media comps that serve editorial beats and keep viewers engaged.
  • Handle color, audio cleanup, music selection, and basic mix.

  • Support visual planning calls, turning creative direction and performance insights into motion/graphics plans.
  • Lead recurring visual strategy meetings that analyze recent videos and translate performance insights into clear, actionable improvements for editors and animators.
  • Assist in managing external post‑production contractors, ensuring their work aligns with our visual style guide, deadlines, and performance goals.

  • Manage templates, assets, and project files for speed and repeatability; document and uphold our visual style guide and post-production best practices.
