About The Position

The Lead Echocardiogram Technologist Assists technical and non-technical staff to assure efficient and quality patient care. Assists with departmental quality improvement activities. Familiar with the regulatory records, as well as TJC standards, and department compliance. Assigns and monitors the running of daily quality control activities in the Echo/EKG Department. Maintains quality control logs and reports compliance (repeat analysis) to the Cardiac Cath lab Services. Monitors staff levels and assists with employee and patient schedules as needed.

Requirements

5-year minimum experience working in Noninvasive Cardiology Testing
2-year supervisory and teaching experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Working knowledge of all noninvasive diagnostics with emphasis on Cardiac ultrasound procedures and a working knowledge of the equipment related to those procedures, e.g., electrocardiogram, treadmill and ergometric stress testing, Holter monitoring, echocardiograms, stress echo.
Graduate of an AMA approved program for Echocardiography
Associates Degree required
Current BLS (AHA)
Current R.D.C.S by ARDMS Required

Nice To Haves

2-year supervisory and teaching experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Bachelor's Degree, preferred
