About The Position

This role is for a Team Lead for a Residential Group Home, offering a dynamic work environment where tasks are diversified and support the company's mission. The Lead Direct Support Professional will provide leadership and supervision to staff in the residence and community, while also delivering direct services to individuals. Key aspects include attending training, participating in community outings, conducting house orientation for new employees, serving as a role model, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, assisting with staffing and recruitment, reviewing individual progress, coordinating and implementing shift objectives, and providing services such as skills training, job coaching, and behavior management according to Individual Plans (IP) and treatment teams. The position aims to make a daily difference by providing quality, life-enhancing services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in providing direct services in the human services field
  • Current driver's license for minimum 12 months with good driving record
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to problem-solve

  • A commitment to quality in everything you do

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with DSP, CRMA, PSS or CNA certifications
  • Excellent administrative skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff in the residence and community
  • Provide direct services to individuals we serve
  • Attend training for individuals served to assure their objectives, and company goals are achieved
  • Participate in community outings
  • Participate in house orientation to all new employees
  • Serve as a role model to staff assuring that documentation is completed accurately and timely
  • Assist with house staffing needs and staff recruitment
  • Review individuals served progress
  • Coordinate and implement shift objectives
  • Provide for the delivery of services such as skills training, job coaching, behavior management according to the Individual Plan (IP) and/or treatment team
