About The Position

Sodexo is currently seeking a Lead Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific has 80 beds and offers programs tailored to the medical and therapy needs of patients to allow them to reach optimal health and independence. This is a great opportunity to advance your management experience and continue to have patient interaction, is a hands-on position with a census average of 60 patients. Sodexo recently implemented a new patient ordering system, Health Touch. This exciting opportunity offers active participation in overseeing the Dietetic Ambassadors regarding work performance, training, and professional growth. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian certification and licensed in Hawaii, or eligible for a license
  • Prior experience in a lead clinical role
  • Skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with the medical, ancillary staff, and administration, as well as to represent Sodexo to the administration
  • Strong time management skills; is a self-starter , works well independently, and is a team player
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a lead role, directing and training to the team that provides inpatient care to a variety of patients
  • Manage the nutrition programs, oversee clinical nutrition, Per Diem Registered Dietitians, and the patient services team
  • Advance your management experience and continue to have patient interaction in this hands-on position with a census average of 60 patients
  • Oversee the Dietetic Ambassadors regarding work performance, training, and professional growth
  • Provide appropriate interventions, education, and interdisciplinary care planning for patients
  • Assist with the staff regularly and with training initiatives monthly, including safety and huddles
  • Support the Chef-Manager in developing patient menus, meeting necessary dietary guidelines
