Lead Diesel Mechanic
About The Position
Keystone Clearwater Solutions is hiring a Lead Diesel Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and repair of our water hauling fleet of diesel trucks and trailers. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for garage operations, managing parts inventory, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and supervising other shop mechanics. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to ensure our fleet is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Specialized technical or mechanical training
- Experience servicing diesel trucks and heavy equipment
- Knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and fleet maintenance
- Familiarity with truck maintenance software and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must provide personal common hand tools for job performance
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and trailers
- Oversee and mentor shop mechanics; manage daily shop operations
- Monitor and maintain parts and fluid inventory levels
- Schedule and complete minor repairs on company vehicles and field equipment
- Coordinate warranty work and inspections as required
- Operate heavy equipment, including skid steers and telehandlers, as needed
- Accurately complete all required work orders and maintenance records
- Train employees on equipment operation and shop procedures
- Collaborate with management to address operational needs and assignments
