The X-Ray Lead Tech assists the Imaging Director, Manager, & Supervisor in day-to-day supervision of the X-Ray Department- including the Team, Patients, Equipment, & Exams. Performs all Radiography procedures while under the general supervision of a licensed practitioner for the purposes of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Acts in accordance within the scope of their license according to established standards and practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years in XR Field
  • Certificate or associate's degree in allied health
  • ARRT
  • IEMA
  • BLS

  • Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

  • Performs XR exams per department protocol.
  • Performs the quality control functions related to Radiography.
  • Assists with planning, scheduling, and procedural changes in Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Manages supply orders & inventory for the XR Department.
  • Produces monthly onsite & surgical on-call XR Schedules.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing and regulatory standards (Federal & State) in XR including assurance of accurate audit of required statistics.
  • Manage and help implement appropriate data collection of information needed to monitor clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
  • Assists with annual budgeting and cost management in XR Imaging.
  • Assists with personnel performance evaluations for XR Imaging.
  • Collaborates with Imaging Director, Manager, Supervisor, & Radiology Chair regarding performance and reviews & Image Critique.
  • Assists with maintaining and updating the XR Imaging Policy and Procedure manual.
  • Works effectively and provides direct communication with Radiologists to ensure superior patient care and services.
