Requirements

  • 0-2 years of Inside Sales, telemarketing, or customer interaction experience.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality client experience.
  • Strong communicator and active listener with a consultative approach.
  • Team-oriented and able to build effective working relationships.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks and execute as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years of Inside Sales, telemarketing, or customer interaction experience.
  • Track record of over-achieving goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levels.
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing a high volume of calls (45-60 avg.) per day.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an intake queue that includes a variety of Johnson Controls (JCI) products and services, tailored for both existing clients and potential whitespace opportunities.
  • Engage clients via phone and email to qualify leads and schedule meetings for Security Front Line Sales or Security Inside Sales representatives.
  • Initiate proactive outreach to clients using phone and email, guided by a consultative approach that prioritizes understanding over selling.
  • Apply active listening and strategic questioning techniques to uncover client needs, pain points, and business challenges.
  • Utilize CRM tools and lead management platforms to assess inbound inquiries, ensuring each lead meets qualification criteria before handoff.
  • Convert qualified leads to scheduled appointments for Security Front Line Sales or Inside Sales representatives, maintaining a high conversion rate.
  • Build and manage a dynamic pipeline by consistently following up with prospects and re-engaging dormant leads.
  • Partner closely with sales teams to ensure seamless lead handoff and alignment on messaging, timing, and client expectations.
  • Stay up to date on JCI’s evolving product and service offerings, especially within the security portfolio.
