About The Position

As a Lead Designer for Golden State Lumber, you will be responsible for leading the design team, overseeing creative projects, and ensuring the successful execution of design concepts. Your role as a Lead Designer is not only one that should be artistic in vision but also have a strong leadership drive and be flexible and genuinely curious.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual communication, or related field
• Previous experience of professional design experience, including prior experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proficient in designing software and tools.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and client-oriented abilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with your design team, project priorities, and being able to delegate tasks to design members.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets, taking corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ability to communicate and interact with clients, framers, sales reps, and builders to understand design requirements, concepts and address and feedback.
• Encourage skill development and creative growth within the design team.
• Knowledge of design plan reading, and ability to utilize design software.
• Provide innovative design trends, tools, and techniques that encourage the team to explore new solutions and new creative avenues.
