As a Lead Product Designer at PayPal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the payment experiences for our customers and merchants globally. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with cross-functional teams to create meaningful and cohesive designs that enhance user experience. Your commitment to user-centered design will be crucial as you leverage your deep understanding of design patterns to instill trust and security in our financial products. You will be part of the Consumer Journeys design team, which is responsible for the consumer-facing experience that begins at merchant sites and extends through the checkout process and into the consumer app. This includes overseeing all checkout experiences across PayPal, including our flagship branded checkout, the new guest checkout product - Fastlane, and the rapidly growing Pay with Venmo initiative. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will influence product development by drawing on data and research to inform design concepts and decisions. You will be expected to ask the right questions and deliver optimized, best-in-class solutions that prioritize the user. As a Lead Product Designer, you will also mentor junior designers, guiding them in best practices and methodologies while leading cross-functional teams to achieve design excellence. Your role will involve creating high-quality deliverables, managing work schedules, and contributing to the adaptation of PayPal's product design tools and methodologies. You will be the voice of the customer, representing your domain to peers, senior leaders, and executives across the organization, ensuring that customer-centric decisions are made throughout the product development lifecycle.
